African Paradise-Flycatcher on Nest: Original watercolour on board by Jeff Huntly
The artist has written the following on the reverse side: "What the human eye sees - just a rough impression, without minute detail. Cumberland Park Paradise Flycatcher." Cumberland Nature Reserve on the Umgeni River was one of Jeff Huntly's favourite spots in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. In this sketch, the impression of the lichen-bedecked nest of the flycatcher is particularly well rendered. 160 x 198 mm unframed.
