Lute Vink Cheetah Art

Lute Vink cheetah art perfectly captures the athletic qualities of this cat with it's deep chest and narrow waist. The cheetah has a relatively small head with high-set eyes. Black 'tear marks' run from the corner of its eyes down the sides of the nose to its mouth. This marking is said to keep sunlight out of its eyes and to aid in hunting and seeing long distances.

Sometimes a cheetah is mistaken for the leopard. The cheetah's distinguishing features are the aforementioned long 'tear mark' lines on the face and the body frame of the cheetah is thinner with a longer tail. Also the spots are not arranged into rosettes as in the leopard.
