Lute Vink Pyrographic Art

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a Lute Vink pyrographic art work, or indeed, a complete 4 piece collection of Lute Vink's pyrographs.

So what exactly is pyrography? Literally 'pyrography' means 'writing with fire' and it is a traditional art of using a heated tip or wire to burn or scorch designs on to natural materials such as wood or leather. The time-consuming art is done entirely by hand, with each line of a complex design drawn individually. After the design is burned in, the wood or leather may be boldly or delicately coloured or tinted.

Lute Vink stopped creating pyrographic art in 2000 so these unusual pieces are only going to increase in rarity and value. Rather than being cut to a traditional rectangular shape, these pyrographs retain a more rustic irregular look to the cowhide. They are mounted on African kiaat wood frames with leather thongs and brass studs and will look stunning in an African trophy or safari-themed room.

All 4 pieces are signed by Lute Vink and come with certificates of authenticity.
