Wilhelm Kuhnert Animal Etchings

Friedrich Wilhelm Kuhnert (1865 - 1926) was a German painter, author and illustrator, who specialized in animal images.

He undertook great journeys and travel hardships to sketch animals in the wild and not in zoos. He created his pictures by sketching, etching, watercolour and oil painting. Kuhnert is considered one of the most important German animal painters of his time.
